Abstract

634,251. Wall &c. linings. BEAN & CO., Ltd., J. H., and KNOTHE, H. Oct. 9, 1947, No. 27198, [Class 20 (iv)] Lining boards 1 of ceilings, walls &c. are secured to a structural member 2 in edge to edge relation with or without gaps there-between by means of one or more strips 3 covering the adjacent edges of the boards on the face remote from the member, the strips being secured to the member by ties 4, 13 of wire, strip &c. each of which passes over the structural member and is engaged at its ends by screw tensioning means passing through and supporting the cover strip. The cover strip 3 is shown of top-hat section. The ties 4 may be perforated and passed round the member 2 so that the tie ends overlap and bolts 5 passed through aligned holes, as in Figs. 1 and 2, or each end of each tie 13 may be connected to a .separate bolt, or as in Fig. 5 the tie ends may be connected to the wings of a nut 14 which is engaged by a screw 16 passing through the cover strip.
