Abstract

651,937. Wall &c. linings. INKLEY, B. Sept. 7, 1948, No. 23562. [Class 20(iv)] Building boards 5 are attached to structural or other supports 2 by means of metal sections 1 a flange 11 on the support engaging behind the stepped tongues 10 of clips 3 rigidly fixed to the metal sections, and the boards being sandwiched between the flange 11 of the support and a flange 4 on the metal section. As shown the metal section is of top-hat section and the clips 3 are secured to the crown by screws, rivets, or bolts 7 and prevented from rotating during the tightening of the screws &c. 7 by means of bent down lugs 9 which engage the sides of the top-hat. The supports 2 may be the steel deck channels of a floor, roof, or wall, or the structural members which support slabs of metal or concrete &c.
