Abstract

632,716. Spray-producers. LOWELL SPECIALTY CO. June 2, 1947, No. 14564. Convention date, Feb. 6. [Class 69 (iii)] A syphon tube 17 of a hand-operated pumptype spray gun has two pairs of air inlet passages 42 and 43, the former being cut off from the air supply from a pump barrel 2 when a " rich " spray is required. Nozzle 33 slides and rotates about the syphon tube 17, and.within a sleeve 23, between limits controlled by a pin 36 within a slot 35. A spring 41 urges the nozzle 33 into its forward position where both pairs of inlet passages. 42 and 43 are supplied with air which mixes with the liquid passing through the tube 17. Inlets 42, Fig. 4, are disposed within the bore 29 and are cut off from the air supply when the nozzle 33 is moved to its rearward position.
