[Class 133] A tobacco pouch comprises a web of pouch material marginally folded back upon itself at opposite sides 10 against an inner lining, each fold having adhesive along a portion of its exposed surface, one end 13 of the web being folded upon itself with the adhesive surfaces secured together, and a reinforcing band 15 secured across the front of the mouth and continuing around each bellows-like side seam to the rear 17 of the pouch, the other end 14 of the web forming a cover member foldable over the mouth and the reinforcing band. The latter is positioned with its upper edge adjacent to but slightly below the lip of the mouth to which it is secured by adhesive, its upper edge being turned over on itself to form an adhesive-holding bead on its adhesive surface. The web may be formed of laminated material to provide the inner lining and an outer covering which may be transparent and carry printed matter. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 comprises also reinforcing strips made of non-fibrous material or in the form of short strips around each seam. This subject-matter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
