531,463. Paper &c. bags. WATERS, H. F. May 30, 1939, No. 13686/40. Divided out of 534,205. [Classes 66 and 94 (ii)] The side seams of liquid-tight bags adapted to be used disposed within cartons are formed by turning back edge 19 of the material to expose the impervious inner surface and attaching the other end edge 20 thereto by a bond which stops short of the fold line 22. The bags may be formed from impervious material or from paper &c. given an impervious coating, or as shown a lining layer 17 may be attached by adhesive to a paper &c sheet 16. If the lining layer is of a thermoplastic nature the bond of the seam may be formed by the application of heat and pressure to the parts.
