Abstract

1428787 Laminated sheet material H W CHAPMAN Ltd 26 June 1974 [6 Sept 1973 20 Sept 1973] 42040/73 and 44139/73 Heading B5N A flexible wrapping material comprises a supporting sheet of fibrous material and a preformed high density polyethylene film laminated to one surface of the support sheet, the lamination being effected by means of a layer of adhesive extending over said surface and bonding the polyethylene of the film to the fibres of the sheet. The fibrous material may be of paper, e.g. an extensible kraft paper, crepe paper, printer paper or brown paper. The adhesive layer, which reinforced by fibres of e.g. polyethylene, polypropylene, nylon or other natural or synthetic fibres may be of wax, polypropylene, a bitumen or a hot melt adhesive. Water based adhesives may also be used.
