Abstract

1,230,756. Laminates. W. R. GRACE & CO. 20 Oct., 1967 [21 Oct., 1966; 23 Nov., 1966; 8 Feb., 1967], Nos. 22790/70, 22791/70 and 22795/70. Divided out of 1,230,753. Heading B5N. [Also in Division B2] A laminate for use in forming a waterproof seal on a surface comprises a sheet-like aluminium support, a waterproofing pressure sensitive adhesive membrane at least 0À025 mm. thick, and a removable protective layer, the laminate being at least 15 cm. wide. Removable protective layers specified are siliconized paper, paper coated with vinyl chloride polymer, vinyl chloride polymer films. The adhesive may be a bituminous adhesive, preferably containing natural or synthetic rubber, polychloroprene, butyl rubber, oil-based mastics, rosin compositions and can be reinforced with e.g. glass fibre scrim.
