Abstract

628,682. Centrifugal separators. JANSSEN, A. S. Aug. 13, 1947, No. 22506. Convention date, April 28, 1944. [Class 23] A separator 7, connected at one end to the outlet of a grinding mill 55 and at the other end to means 15 for producing an air current, has fan blades 12 adjustable for pitch. The separator has an inner chamber 8 connected by apertures having adjustable flaps 9 to an outer chamber. Separated solid material discharged from the inner chamber at 11 may be returned to the mill. The gas exhaust from the inner chamber passes through a duct 14, provided with adjustable apertures 41 for varying the flow through the separator, to a cyclone 44 which may have fan blades. The gas exhaust from the cyclone may be returned to the grinding mill or be fed to a filter 49. The Specification as open to inspection under Sect. 91 describes a construction of pitch changing mechanism. This subjectmatter does not appear in the Specification as accepted.
