Abstract

624,351. Curtain-rod brackets. OLDHAM, H.J. July 7, 1947, No. 17843. [Class 52 (v)] A device for suspending curtain rods comprises a supporting plate with a spiked end for attachment to the wall and having cross-like perforations for the reception of screw 'eyes or the like on the ends of the rods, and a locking bar pivoted to the supporting plate which engages the screw eyes to prevent them from rotating. A supporting plate D attached by a screw F to the side E of a window frame has a spiked end C which enters the wall and prevents the complete perpendicular load being taken by the screw. Cross-like perforations N are formed in the plate D so the screw ends or the like on the ends of the curtain rods may be inserted and turned through 90 degrees to be retained in position. A locking bar K pivoted on the screw F has vertical slots O in positions corresponding to the perforations thus locking the screw eyes or the like against rotation.
