Abstract

624,289. Dynamo-electric machines. AKTIEBOLAGET VIBRO-BETONG. June 27, 1947, No. 16957. Convention date, June 29, 1945. [Class 35] An electric vibration motor which provides vibrations of higher frequency than the rotor speed, comprises a stator 3 rigidly secured to the motor frame 1, and a rotor 6 supported by a spherical bearing 8 located in the centre of the stator to permit a rotatable and swingable motion of the rotor. The lower end of the rotor, where the greater part of its mass is concentrated, is provided with a bushing 9 rolling on the surface of a spigot 10 secured to the motor frame (or vice versa) so as to provide planetary motion. The inner surface of the rotor is of double conical shape so that the flux places the rotor obliquely when the motor is started and gyratory motion commences immediately. The frequency of vibration may be varied by changing the ratio of the diameters of the bushing and pivot.
