Abstract

624,249. Chance apparatus. WALSS, W. June .20, 1947, No. 16362. Convention date, Dec. 26, 1946. [Class 132 (ii)] [Also in Group XXIV] In game apparatus as described in Specification 332,802, [Class 132 (ii)], a rotating disc 13 is reremovably mounted on a plate 12 secured to a member 14 carrying teeth 15 and to a sleeve member 8 fitted with a driven gear 10 and embracing a pin 5 secured to the base of the apparatus. The upper end of pin 5 carries, teeth 6 which coact with teeth 15 to justify the disc when it stops, the teeth riding out of engagement when the disc 13 is rotated by the driven gear 10. An intermediate gear 16, mounted on a pivot 17 fitted in slots 18 in a forked bracket 20, co-acts with a geared sector plate 21 pivoted at 23 to the base and fitted with an operating lever 22 extending beyond the edge of the apparatus. A spring 27 urges the lever 22 anticlockwise as shown in Fig. 3. On operation of the lever 22 the sector 21 engaging the gear 16, moves this gear along the slots 18 into engagement with the gear 10 which is then rotated. On releasing the lever 22, continued rotation of the gear 10 urges the gear 16 back along the slots 18 to disengage the driving mechanism. Specification 375,631 also is referred to.
