Abstract

1416833 Window lifting device BROSEVERWALTUNGS GmbH 3 Aug 1973 [7 Aug 1972] 37002/73 Heading E2M In a window lifting device of the type in which a lifting arm 2 for the window is secured to a sector gear 4 driven by a pinion 15, the components are all mounted on a base plate 1 formed as a one-piece ribbed die-casting (as in Specification 1391212); in addition a housing 20 is formed in the plate 1 around the pinion spindle for a brake mechanism which prevents the weight of the window displacing the sector gear 4. As shown the pinion 15 is rotatably mounted on the drive shaft 17 and engages with the shaft via brake mechanism in the form of a spring 26 which acts between projections 19 and 27 on pinion and shaft respectively. A wear resistant sleeve 28 lines the housing 20 and a cover 14 is provided. A spring 11 is mounted to supplement the lifting force and seat 29 on the drive shaft receives a hand cranking lever.
