Abstract

623,882. Mining-machines. LOGAN MINING MACHINERY CO., Ltd., and LOGAN, W. A. May 28, 1947, No. 14167. [Class 68 (i)] For removing cuttings from the cut, the cutter chain of a mining machine is provided with at least one carrier member 5 in which is held, as by a screw 9, a resilient scraper blade 6 riveted &c. between preferably T-shaped cheek plates 7 and contacting the lower surface of the cut. A metal &c. rubbing strip 10 may be secured to the chain jib 1 and contact the scraper blade. The Provisional Specification refers to the use of a hard rubber scraper blade.
