623,207. Pulse generating circuits. SUBMARINE SIGNAL CO. (LONDON), Ltd., BIRD, W. G., and HART, F. J. C. Sept. 24, 1946, No. 28562. [Class 40 (vi)] In a high-voltage pulse generator a capacitor gradually charges through a resistor 2, and discharges through the primary of an output transformer 5, when a gas-filled tetrode 12 is fired by the closing of contacts 7, which raises the grid potentials until a capacitor 17 connected between the grid and anode has charged. The charge on the capacitor prevents the valve from firing again while the contacts are still closed. A gas-filled triode may be used. The grids may be given a small positive bias by shunting a resistor 19 across the series combination of contacts 7 and capacitor 17.
