Abstract
622,877. Spring clips. THOMAS, S., and THOMAS, B. A. April 10, 1947, No. 9575. [Class 44] [Also in Group X] A clip, especially adapted to secure the upper and lowermost edges of the end panes in greenhouse glazing, is shaped to a U-section so as frictionally to engage the flange of a T-bar and has an upstanding part notched to present a tongue adapted to be bent laterally to bear on the top surface of the pane. In the form shown, the clip, preferably made of rustless steel, is bent at right angles to form a channel b, the longer arm d of which is bent to give a projecting part e in which a rectangular notch g, of a width to suit the glass thickness, is cut, leaving a tongue h. The clip is mounted with the channel b engaging the flange i of the T-bar j and the glass sheet is laid on the top of the arm d of the clip, when the tongue h is bent around to bear on the top of the sheet, thus securing it to the T-bar.
