707,049. Securing glass sheets. THOMAS, B. A., and THOMAS, S. Nov. 30, 1951 [Aug. 30, 1950], No. 21467/50. Class 20 (3). [Also in Group XXV] A metal glazing clip for holding two overlapping panes of glass in surface-to-surface contact and for securing them to a flange of a glazing rail consists of a part 3 adapted to rest on a flange 2 of an inverted Tee-section rail 1 and having a part 4 bent upwardly there rom at right angles of a height equal to two thicknesses of glass, a resilient part 5 being bent over from the top of the part 4 to bear on the upper pane of glass a and terminating in a downwardly turned end 6 which acts as a stop for the lower edge of the upper pane. The upper edge of the lower pane b which is bedded in putty spread on the flange 2, bears against a flute 8 formed by bending up the outer end of the part 3, the metal at the outer side of the flute being bent down at 11 and inwardly beneath the flange 2 in the form of a tongue 9 by means of which the clip is secured to the flange.
