Abstract

158,629. Darby, A. C., and Darby, P. L. Nov. 5, 1919. Holdfasts. - A device for holding a pipe 5 in position comprises a U- shaped clip 1 which can be secured by a screw, and a locking-element 6 slidable over the turnedover edges 2 of the clip. The screw-hole 3 may be square to prevent relative movement of the clip and the screw. The edges 7 of the locking-element 6 are turned over to form grooves, and are formed with projections 9 to engage with notches 8 in the curved edges 2 of the clip. The locking-element 6 may be formed with projections 10 to receive the edge of an operating-tool.
