Abstract

586,462. Band clips. TINNERMAN PRODUCTS, Inc. Sept. 18, 1944, No. 17794. Convention date, March 13. [Class 44] A band clip comprises a bracket of channel form having a base 21 and opposed sides 22, 23. flanges 24, 25 extending outwardly from the bracket side 23, a spindle 30 rotatably mounted in the bracket sides, a flexible band 10 having one end anchored to the base of the bracket as by a hooked portion 11 and the other end anchored to the spindle, and means mounted in the flanges for rotating the spindle. The means may comprise a worm 42 which is provided with a finger grip 45 and meshes with a worm wheel 35 integral with the spindle. The worm is held in place by a split washer 47 engaging a groove in the worm body. The end 12 of the band is bent round the spindle with a flat portion 13 engaging a slot 32.
