Abstract

Hasp and like fastenings.-A fastening device for securing in position the backs of photograph frames and the like comprises a doubly cranked piece d<2> pivoted at both ends a<3> within a bead a' formed upon the frame, and engaging a complementary member secured upon the detachable back b. Fig. 2 shows the use of a strip e' having a projecting part e<3> engaging the loop d<3>, while in the form shown in Fig. 5 a turn-button f<2> is employed. An inclined bridge-piece g<2>, Fig. 7, may be used, with which the loop d<3> engages by a sliding movement, after being turned up into position. The fastening may be applied to one or more edges of the frame.
