Abstract
409,975. Strap fastenings. KOCZIAN, G. VON, 3, Ehrwalderstrasse, Schoneberg, Berlin. Sept. 4, 1933, No. 24496. Convention date, July 1. [Class 44.] An adjustable fastening for straps, handbags, &c. shown as applied to a strap, consists of a box-like casing 3 secured to one end of the strap 1 and slidable along a row of mushroom or stud-like members 2 secured to the other end of the strap ; a projection 6<1> on a spring 6 mounted in the casing 3 is moved by a knob 8, slidable in a slot in the casing, to engage between two members 2 to hold the strap in adjusted position. The casing 3 is held in contact with the members 2 by a channel member 4 having inturned flanges 5 engaging under the heads of the members 2. In one alternative form, Fig. 6, the head of the member 2 is of considerable size ; in a further form, Fig. 5, the member comprises a rivet 11 having a head 11<1> formed of synthetic resin. If a hollow rivet is used, the projection 6<1> of the spring may engage within its head.
