Abstract

418,218. Buckles. GUEST, Ltd., O. D., and GUEST, J. E., Vicarage Street, Walsall, Staffordshire. April 18, 1933, No. 11258. [Class 43.] A fastening for straps, particularly applicable to belts and shoe or wrist straps, comprises a stud 6 with non-circular head adapted to be passed through a correspondingly shaped aperture 4 in a plate 1 when the strap parts 3 are out of normal alignment, and secured by rotation out of register with the aperture when the parts 3 assume normal alignment. As shown, plate 1 has slots 2 to form a slide for adjustment along the strap and stud 6 is mounted on a plate 7, but the stud may be mounted directly on the strap, shoe-upper &c. The stud shown has a T-head formed by two projections 8, but may have only one projection to co-operate with a key-hole form slot, or may have more than two projections.
