Abstract
622,667. Thermionic valves. PHILIPS LAMPS, Ltd. Aug. 26, 1946, No. 25471. Convention date, Dec. 4, 1942. [Class 39 (i)] A cylindrical anode for a short-wave electron discharge tube has a supply conductor 2 attached at 3 about midway between the ends, and slots 4 extending from the ends almost to said point of attachment, thus furnishing a shorter surface path for the electrons received on the inner anode surface to the supply conductor. To prevent direct emission of electrons through the slots, the anode has a rib 8 bent over to form a shield 9 in front of the slot 7.
