Abstract

1,112,027. Thermionic cathode tubes. VARIAN ASSOCIATES. 6 May, 1965 [6 May, 1964], No. 141/68. Divided out of 1,112,026. Heading H1D. The subject-matter is contained in Specification 1,112,026, but the claims relate to an electron tube having an envelope, a portion of which is of dielectric material having an electrically conductive coating substantially covering its exterior surfaces to define a resonant cavity for interaction with electrons emitted by a cathode of the tube, the electrical circuit of the resonant cavity including a capacitor for transmitting energy in the circuit, one plate of the capacitor being formed by a portion of the electrically conductive coating.
