[Class 40 (vi)] In a circuit for producing a sawtooth current in deflecting coils by applying a sawtooth voltage to a high impedance valve having the coils in its output circuit, a choke through which at least part of the D.C. component of the sawtooth current flows, is connected in parallel with the coils, the inductance of the choke being made approximately equal to 10r2T where r2 is the resistance of the deflecting coils and T the period of the sawtooth current.
