[Class 135] [Also in Group XXVIII] In valve mechanism, particularly for air &c. compressors and comprising inlet and outlet valves proper formed as tongues 23, 24, Fig. 3, in a single resilient metal sheet 14 clamped across the valve seats, clamping is effected by the under surface of the cylinder cover 13, Fig. 1, making direct contact with substantially the whole area of the sheet 14, and recesses 19, 20 conforming in shape to the general outline of the holes punched in the sheet 14 to form the valves are provided in the cover to enable the tongues 23, 24 to lift. The tongues 23, 24 control inlet and outlet ports 27, 29 respectively in a plate 15. Specification 428,020 is referred to.
