Abstract

618,956. Electric indicating systems. LANDIS & GYR SOC. ANON. Jan. 10, 1946, No. 950. Convention date, Jan. 12, 1945. [Class 40 (i)] A transmitter co-operating with a resultant field receiver consists of at least two magnetically coupled windingsrelativelyrotatable and directly connected electrically so as to vary signal currents in opposite sense. A rotatable winding 1, Fig. 1, co-operates with two fixed windings 2, 3 to provide two inversely varying currents for operating a resultant field indicator 16 which preferably incorporates a variable resistance 19 to adjust the scale of the deflection. In a modification, further windings on the cores of windings 2, 3 may be fed with A.C., the source 14 then being removed, Fig. 3 (not shown).
