618,586. Building slabs; walls. WILKINSON. H. A., GILBERT, R. L., HOBSON, L. J., and WILKINSONS (RUNFOLD), Ltd. March 12, 1946, No. 6168/45. [Classes 20(iv) and 87(i)] A building slab 1 having vertical and horizontal ribs 3, 15 forming recesses 11 is provided with ribs 42, 40 of greater height at the top and bottom. Two slabs 1, 100 may be secured together with intervening damp - proof material 172 by bolts 162 passing through holes in the slab 100 and engaging nuts 164 secured to bolts 160 embedded in the other slab 1. Similar nuts may be embedded in the upper edge of the slab and the lower edge may be rebated at 170. Holes 20 may be provided through the ribs 15 to receive screwed rods and nuts for coupling slabs together. One end of each rod may be pointed and the co-operating end of the nut counter-bored.
