Abstract

617,041. Perforating glass. COLBORNE, R. H. Sept. 27, 1946, No. 28847. [Class 56] A glass disc or dish (particularly the base or electrode support of an electron discharge tube) is perforated by being heated to softening point and by pressing plungers (which may be gramophone needles) into or through it and, after cooling, dissolving out the plungers.
