Abstract

Fabrics are guided in a predetermined path through steaming apparatus by means of fluid pressure jets. In the apparatus shown, the fabric 1 which has been printed or impregnated with dye is passed into a chamber 2 and is guided by air or steam jets 4, 5 and 6, between a plurality of steam jets 7 supplied by means <PICT:0616845/IV (c)/1> of the fan 10 with steam that has been saturated by drawing it through or over the surface of the water 13.
