A heating jacket 5 is fitted round the flue tube and is filled with water which is heated by contact with the tube. Inlet and outlet sockets 7 and 8 are provided for a tube 9 which is of suitable shape to heat the interior of the house. A filling tank 10 delivers water when necessary into the return branch of the tubing 9. The oil burner may be replaced by a stove burning solid fuel.
