616,019. Grinding -- wheels. NORTON GRINDING WHEEL CO., Ltd. Aug. 19, 1946, No. 24676. Convention date, Aug. 17, 1945. [Class 60] [Also in Group V] A grinding-wheel comprises an annulus A, of diamond grit, bort or the like distributed in a vitreous bond, a vitreous body part or backing B<SP>1</SP> on one side of and of a diameter equal or substantially equal to the internal diameter of the annulus and having its peripheral surface J<SP>2</SP> at an angle to the adjacent side J<SP>1</SP> of the annulus, and a vitreous cantilever portion S<SP>1</SP> of annular form in said angle and united by vitreous bond to the annulus and said body or backing. A method of making the wheel is described (see Group V). Specification 572,770 and U.S.A. Specifications 2,356,937 and 2,356,938 are referred to.
