[Classes 60 and 124] In trueing grinding or abrading wheels by the crushing method, the wheel and crushing roller are given a vibratory movement relatively to each other to allow loose grit to disperse. The roller a or grinding wheel d is mounted on a slide b which is reciprocated in the crushing direction by a spring f and in the opposite direction by a cam e rotated by means such as an electric motor h. The cam and spring may act in the reverse directions and the direction or reciprocation may be tangential instead of radial. The casing for the motor h, which forms the abutment for the spring f is adjustable by means of a screw i.
