615,815. Spraying-nozzles. BOOTHMAN, P. R. Aug. 10, 1946, No. 23740. [Class 69 (iii)] A nozzle for spraying liquids or powders has a flared or fan-shaped outlet bore 2A offset from the axis of the inner bore 2-2B so that liquid passing through is undeflected until it impinges on one or both of the inner surfaces of the flared end. The inner surface of the flared end is left rough, except at the outer edge 4A. One of the flared surfaces is also inclined at 5A into the path of the jet to form an additional striking surface.
