Abstract

614,958. Condensing fibres. CASABLANCAS HIGH DRAFT CO., Ltd., and NOGUERA, J. July 10, 1946, No. 20621. [Class 120(i)] A fibre condenser for use in preparatory and spinning machines is formed in two parts, one of said parts, 1, being fixedly mounted on a traverse bar 4 of the machine and adapted to receive and laterally position the other part, 12, which rests freely thereon, the two parts being shaped. to provide, when assembled, a converging tunnel with the narrowed end very close to the nip of the following drawing members 6. The member 1 is provided with a flat bottom channel 2 and outwardly inclined and downwardly sloping sides 3, into which rests member 12 containing a deep slot 13, this slof converging towards the drawing members, at which end the leading surfaces 14 of the slotted member 12 are so tapered as to fit right into and bear against the nip of the belts 6. To thread the device, the member 12 is removed.
