Abstract
614,796. Lamp-holders. COOKE & FERGUSON, Ltd., and DRUCKER, R. July 30, 1946, No. 22689. [Class 38 (i)] In a socket of the slotted rotatable-disc type, the disc is located in its out-of-service position, in which the slot receives the lamp pins, by a spring-loaded ball which enters the slot at one end. The disc i is provided with a peg h and a projecting ring j which lies between walls c, d on the base a, the spring-loaded ball f, g entering the slot at its end closed by the socket cover b. Channel-shaped contacts n for the lamp pins also lie between the walls c, d and enclose part of the ring j, the contacts being connected to their terminals k by strips m. Preferably, the disc i is also provided with pockets at right angles to the slot to receive the ball and locate the disc in the service position.
