Abstract

819,009. Lamp-holders. UNITED - CARR FASTENER CORPORATION. Aug. 30, 1957 [Sept. 20, 1956], No. 27456/57. Class 38 (1). A connector for establishing connection between a device such as a lamp and a printed circuit panel comprises an insulating body 10 formed with a central lamp receiving aperture having bayonet slots 38, 40 formed therein. Located in the aperture are resilient contacts 32, 34 having retaining portions 54, 64 respectively located in passages in the body and forwardly extending cranked portions 62, 74 which engage sockets 18, mounted on the panel and connected to the printed circuit. A pair of integral resilient legs 48 extends forwardly of the body each having shoulders 50 which retain the body by a snapping engagement with slots in the aperture in the panel. The body is also located by flanges 46 which bear against the panel. The body can be made to provide connections to a device other than a lamp and may be made with other than two contacts.
