Abstract

614,784. Draughting-machines. JARAY, P. July 29, 1946, No. 22576. Convention date, Feb. 2, 1944. [Class 97 (iii)] A rail 3, Fig. 1, mounted at its ends 4 on a drawing-board 1 carries a slide 5 on which is rotatably mounted a graduated disc 6 carrying the guide bar 7 supporting the two-limbed drawing scale 8. The disc 6 and bar 7 are clamped in position against the slide 5 by tightening a nut 10 against a curved spring 12. The cross-section of the rail 3 may be square or rectangular or as shown in Fig. 3 may be in the form of a sector of a circle, the slide 5 being held in engagement with the chord by a wedge 14 and blade spring 13. The undersurfaces of the arms of the scale 8 are grooved to engage slidably the guide bar 7.
