566,658. Drawing ellipses &c. JONES, W. H. Feb. 8, 1943, No. 2021. [Class 97 (iii)] In a device for drawing arches, curves or ellipses, the transverse arm 29 carrying the scribing point 37 is adjustably clamped in a sleeve 23 freely rotatable and slidable on the main bar 20. A spike 22 fixes one end of the main bar where required, the other end being adjustable for transverse location on the cross-bar 13 through the clip 16 and adjustable for height by the lugs 14 slidable on the upright 10 of the stands 11, 12. The sleeve 23, Fig. 2, is provided with anti-friction bearings 24 which can be tightened by nuts 26, 27.
