610,992. Compasses and dividers. HENSHALL, W. J. April 18, 1946, No. 12008. [Class 97 (iii)] The legs a, b of compasses or dividers are formed of sheet metal of trough - like crosssection and are pivoted on a screw f and secured by a thumb nut g. In the compasses shown, each leg is provided with a pair of circular ears c centrally apertured which are engaged and mounted on the screw f together with a spacing disc and washers, not shown. The sides of the leg a are clamped about the pointed member m. A pencil holder comprises a split socket n secured to the leg b by an integral clamp o, the jaws of the socket being drawn together by a screw and thumb nut p.
