[Class 20(i)] A metal building structure for use as a greenhouse, comprises rectangular side and end frames, a ridge member 13, Fig. 1, and rafters 7, the upper horizontal members 3 of the side frames and the ridge member 13 being of rounded cross-section, the structure being provided with glazed panels 17, Fig. 3, hingedly connected at their upper ends around the horizontal members of rounded cross-section. Each side frame is formed of four uprights 1, Fig. 1, and two horizontal members 2, 3 secured together by welding, and each end frame comprises two horizontal members 9, 10 welded to two uprights 11 and bolted to the side frames by means of gusset plates 12. Gusset plates 5 welded to the uprights 1 provide support for the rafters 7 secured to gusset plates 14 which are welded to the ridge member 13. The members 3, 10, 13 are of tubular form while the other members of the framework are of L-section. Rectangular glazed panels 17, Fig. 3, provided with hooks 18 along their upper edges are hung from the ridge member 13, Fig. 1, and from the horizontal members 3, 10 so that three panels cover each side of the roof, and each side wall and two panels cover the outer rectangles of each end wall. The centre rectangle of each end wall is provided with a similar panel hinged about a vertical axis, and the gable ends filled with panels bolted to the structure. The structure may be extended longitudinally by adding further sections, or two such structures may be erected side by side and provided with outer side extension wings, the inner side panels being supported in a raised position by means of . a central gutter supported on uprights.
