[Classes 125 (ii) and 125 (iii)] A resealing device, for a container of the type normally closed by a crown stopper, comprises a closure 35, with a cushion or gasket 36, slidably attached to a carrier which is mounted across the container mouth and has depending flanges providing bearing surfaces 290,291 engaging the under surface of the beaded rim 30 of the container. Surfaces 290, 291 converge on a guideway base 25 against which the closure is slidably retained. The closure 35 is slid to the left-hand end of the guideway (as in Fig. 2) and placed on the mouth of the container: the carrier is then slid to the left, to press the closure tightly against the container mouth. The carrier may also be provided with a perforation having edges 21, 22 suitably shaped for levering off crown stoppers. Specification 7720/02, [Class 125], is referred to.
