611,325. Cartons or like containers. FRANGHIA, S. B. June 3, 1946. Nos. 10357 and 21946. [Class 66] A carton or like container body is made from a single piece of sheet material e.g. aluminium foil which may be lined or covered e.g. with paper, and has rounded, angular or square corrugations 3 round the rim. The lid may be dished with an outwardly directed flange at the top, or may be doubled over outwardly at 13 to leave a space 14 to accommodate the corrugations 3. Alternatively the corrugations 3 may constitute a screw-thread and the lid may be screwthreaded to fit. The carton body may be of generally cylindrical or conical form and may be pleated, folded, fluted, or corrugated, e.g. there may be box pleats which interlock the foil and a lining or covering, the pleats, &c., extending straight down the side walls. The base may be plain, grooved, or embossed.
