Abstract

1,271,791. Refuse receptacles. J. H. H. HOOGENDYK. April 25, 1969 [Jan.25, 1968], No.3898/68. Heading A4A. A refuse container comprises a nest of disposable bags 5, and a top cap 3 with a lid 4 attached. The bags 5 may be of paper or plastics material, and have self-adhesive strips 16 along their insides for sealing after use, and tabs 17 for lifting out the full bags. A rigid outer container 1 may be provided, having slots 18 or loops (not shown) for attachment to a wall, and may have a bottom lid 2 attached by inter-locking tabs 8 and 9. The top cap 3 is provided with flaps to guide rubbish into the bags. The container, bottom and top caps, and lid may all be made from single sheets of folded sheet material, e.g. cardboard.
