Abstract

Folded cardboard boxes, in particular for packaging fruit, with the edges and corners rounded to prevent damage to cellophane wrapping. The boxes are made of corrugated cardboard covered with sheets of perforated paper. The micro-holes through the sheets need not pass through the cardboard support. The inner surface is lined with perforated paper coated with one of several possible coatings to protect the box from damage due to dampness. The boxes are made continuously on a machine which feeds sheets, perforates, folds, glues and coats them. The completed boxes can be built into piles.
