Abstract
611,073. Dry shavers. WELLS. R. G. Jan. 30, 1946, No. 2950. [Class 131] In a dry shaver the cutter is rotated or reciprocated by a rotary vane air motor in the body of the shaver, the exhaust from the motor being directed through the cutter. As shown, air from the rotatable and removable inlet 3 passes into the reservoir 4 and by the duct 5 to the sliding vane motor 6 on which is mounted a spindle 9 with an eccentric 10 oscillating one end. of the lever 11. The lever 11 is pivoted at 12 and the other end reciprocates the cutter 13. In modifications the lever 11 may be a sliding fit in a block surrounding the eccentric or connected by a link to a crank pin replacing the eccentric. Air may be supplied from a foot-pump or, according to the Provisional Specification, from a vacuum cleaner.
