[Class 40 (viii)] [Also in Group XL (c)], The tracking of permeability tuners having ganged axially adjustable cores, which has been corrected at one intermediate point as described in Specification 546,248, by connecting a condenser across a portion of one of the coils may be further improved by connecting additional condensers across other portions of the coil. Thus oscillator coil 10 of a superheterodyne receiver, having its extreme values of inductance set by choice of winding arrangement and parallel capacitor 12, has its tracking corrected at two intermediate points by condensers 16 and 18 connected respectively across <1>/3rd and <2>/3rds of the coil. Capacitor 16 is preferably more than twice as large as capacitor 18.
