Abstract
608,688. Perambulator suspensions. WIL. SON & SONS, Ltd., W., and WILSON, W. N. Feb. 27, 1946, No. 6110. [Class 108 (ii)] In the perambulator body suspension of the type comprising rods 5 passing transversely through the body 1, self-lubricating bearings are provided on the rods for the looped straps 4 or other suspension means. Between the strap 4 and rod 5 are mounted an inner bush 8 of oil-impregnated self-lubricating material and an outer bush 7 which is of brass or similar material and may be in two or more sections; the outer surface of the bush 7 may be knurled to grip the straps. The bearing members are retained in position by a spring 9 and cupshaped member 10 on the side adjacent to the body 1, and by a washer 11 and a capnut 12 on the outer end of the rod 5. The other end of the looped strap 4 is connected to the perambulator spring 2, by a link 6, the pins 13, 14 of which may be provided with similar self-lubricating bearings.
