Abstract

634,447. Looms. S.A.G.A. SOC. APPLICAZIONI GOMMA ANTIVIBRANTI. Sept. 8, 1947, No. 24697. Convention date, Jan. 27, 1944. [Class. 142 (iii)] A resilient rubber body 1 of a shockabsorber for a loom-picker is made with an internal diameter greater than the diameter of a picker rod 2, so that binding does not occur when the body is compressed axially. One or more rigid bushes 3, 4 for locating the absorber on the rod are set into the body making an easy sliding fit on the rod, and end pieces 6, 7 of impact resistant material are secured to the body. Ventilating holes 8 are provided. Modified end pieces with resilient axially extending flanges for detachably securing them to the body may be used, and in another form the body is made in two pieces riveted, or otherwise secured together.
