Abstract

349,329. Connecting - rods. WIZEMANN, J., 48, Charlottenstrasse, Cannstatton-Neckar, Germany. June 11, 1930, No. 17925. [Class 122 (i).] In gudgeon pin retaining devices of the type comprising a resilient ring a inserted in an annular groove b in the gudgeon pin seat, contraction of the ring is prevented by a removable strut engaged between the ends of the ring. The strut may comprise a washer n inserted between the curved ends m of the ring a, or a link, removably secured by screws to the extremities. In a further construction, the ends of the ring are turned inwardly and one of them annealed whereby it may be bent at right-angles to abut against the other inturned end and form the strut member.
