Abstract

279,334. Scadeng, G. B., and Howell & Co., Ltd., H. May 4, 1927. Folding seats; seat adjustments. -In a seat stick of the kind having telescopic elements 10, 11 adapted to be secured in adjusted position by the engagement of a pin on one element with apertures in the other element, the pin 17 is carried by an arm 15, pivoted at 16 about an axis transverse to the length of the member 10. The axis 16 is preferably intermediate the ends of the arm 15, one end of which is formed as a finger piece, and is pressed by the spring 18. The pin 17 may be so shaped as to allow extension of the members 10, 11, but to present opposite movement until it is manually released from the aperture 12. A rib 21 engaging a groove 22 may be provided to prevent relative rotation of the members 10, 11.
